Having received a BA in Psychology from Bucknell University with a minor in French and a MA in French focusing on 20th Century Literary Criticism, Tom Leonhardt joined the Peace Corps in the Cote d'Ivoire working in health education and school gardens, and devoted nine years to teaching grades 2-5. He took a Sabbatical in Geneva Switzerland to study at the Faculty of Psychology and Education. Much of Tom’s subsequent career has been spent helping organizations both domestic and overseas with training, human resource and organizational development. This included his work as Senior Training Advisor, at the Center for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA), where he provided subject matter and process expertise to CEDPA’s world-wide training programs. In retirement, Tom Leonhardt has volunteered with SCORE to mentor, coach and counsel nonprofit organizations (primarily in the State of Maine).
